Sundown on the Forest marks the long awaited return of Kingfish to the studio. This record features the band's founder Matthew Kelly as well as Kingfish stalwarts Bob Weir, Robbie Hoddinott, Steve Kimock, Mookie Siegel, and Barry Sless. Also present is Jerry Garcia who plays a magical guitar solo on Ridin' High. This track stems from a 1973 session and has been carefully restored by Matthew Kelly. The newest addition to the band is Jenni Muldaur, who lends her sultry voice to three tracks.

This is truly Matthew Kelly's opus and well worth the wait.
